I introduced Brunhilda and Borris Bearsaltandpepper to some of my Wisconsin friends. Friends I have known and loved for years. Friends who have helped make me what I am today.
I will be making a long post about all those friends. However, because it is going to take thought to write adequate tributes to each of them, I have been saving that post to do after I get home. I need quiet uninterrupted time to be creative enough to give each of these wonderful people their due justice.
Mark, however has gotten tired of waiting. He is giving me a hard time about "making" him hold up "those little bears" in order to have his "moment of fame" with my blogging public only for the post to be forgotten .
Mark, I could NEVER forget you.
This is my friend, Pastor Mark, meeting Brunhilda and Borris for the first time. I think you can tell by the look on his whiskered face that he isn't entirely comfortable treating the Bearsaltandpeppers like they are real.
Mark - - - you gotta BELIEVE they're real for them to BE real.
I first met Mark at a kid's camp in northern Wisconsin. I was the speaker and he ran the snack shop. In the afternoons I loved to sit in the snack shop and get all the money in order with all the heads going the same direction. Mark says that was the only year the shop LOST money. I don't know WHAT he's talking about, I didn't LOSE it - - - I ORGANIZED it.
Mark is a Penn State football fan, perhaps God can forgive him for that. At least the Nittany Lions are a Big Ten team - - - but wouldn't you think a man living in the most wonderful state in the nation (well, in MY opinion anyway) would pull for the Wisconsin Boys??? That's OK - - - I'll just have to cheer for the Badgers doubly hard to make up for his defection.
Mark loves to tease, but he is a warm teddy bear with a large heart inside. I'm so glad to have him as a friend.

I don't know how witty this will be, but if Mark is a warm teddy bear, maybe he can warm up to Bearsaltandpeppers and just keep believing... as a pastor he surely not unfamiliar with that concept.
Pastor Mark has a friendly smile and looks like a very kind man. What a lovely tribute to your friend ... tell him he's a Super Star!
Happy 4th of July to you and yours!

Hello Pastor Mark! It's such a wonderful site to see you with B&B. They can melt the heart of many, that's for sure.
I'd have to agree that the heads should all be facing the same direction - I was taught that long ago. You don't lose money that way, silly Pastor Mark.
Is he trying to tell us that money somehow reproduces on its own if all the head aren't pointed in the same direction?
(blush)
Not in Presbyterian land!
How wonderful to meet you Mark.
You look so great with the bears.
