Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Bear With Me Here - - -

.

(photo from wendmag.com)

While I share two totally unrelated thoughts.

First: I'm not going to be doing a Thrifty Vintage Thingies post today.

OK, let me reword that - - - this IS my Thrifty (here) Vintage Thingies (here) post - - - it's my nonpost post.

No time.

No Inspiration.

No post.

Second: I KNEW my blog would be good for SOMETHING someday, and yesterday was that day.

Because of a complete turn-over in our office personnel this school year, the records of which school days had to be canceled for snow last year were lost. Those dates were desperately needed for a state report. "They" came me asking me if I had written them down, like in my lesson plans or something.

NO

And while I DO remember snow days that looked just like this, I certainly couldn't remember when they were, nor how many.

Then I thought of my blog - - - went to my January and February '09 archives and - - -

VOILA!!! I not only found how MANY snow days we had, but found their exact dates too.

Who said a blog was a silly, good for nothing, waste of time?????

:-)

I find that nowadays my blog is like my diary, I can always check back & see how I was feeling or what I was doing.
Bet you felt kinda clever when you were able to tell them the dates.
Love the bear BTW.

One thing for sure you know how to turn a bad situation into something good. We need more teachers like you.

Thank you for confirming that blogs are necessary. I have used mine to record facts that I know I will look up one day.

You see Keetha, this is why you should be in charge...of everything. The go-to gal, the power that be, the queen of the world, the boss blogger. The one they can count on. Not only do you have dates you have pictures. Perfect.

My DH is suitably impressed with my blogging so I guess that counts for something other than "good for nothing" lol! You're so right, Keetha it's a great way to journal & it has come in handy for my senior brain at times too!

Very clever! That's what makes a blog an ongoing journal!

I did that a few weeks ago - just linked back to the carnival even though I didn't participate. It's funny how inspiration works. :)

Isn't it great to be able to be clever once in awhile?!! Here's to blogging! (and bears)

That was a great way to find the date. This blog is a great way to remember things! Now only if I had been blogging 58 years ago I might remember more of my life!!

Smart idea!

I think they owe you big time! Like, someone needs to grade your students' papers for you, for the rest of the year!
Happy VTT girlie!

Good for you!...but more importantly...how close were you to that bear to take its picture?
I was in a store the other day & thought of you. They had bears like your Boris & Brunhilda.

How cool that you were able to pull those up like that. I bet they sure were appreciative. I think a Starbucks gift card is in order don't you?!

This made me grin BIG :D Dedication to blogging paid off!

Aren't you resourceful?

Love it. That's my excuse. "It's not a hobby, it's a valuable timeline." With a lot of not so valuable stuff in my case.

Glad you got it figured out!

that's pretty neat!!! Blogs are always good for something!:)

Oh, as a former teacher I do remember about snow days. Not that we had them often here in Tx, but when we did it was so exciting. Like we had been given a gift. Well at least until we had to make them up at the end of the year. LOL

xinex said...

Oh no, Keetha! That wasn't nice of you PIF winners if they did not pay it forward....Christine
