Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

"A Girl in Every Port"
First posted April 5, 2007

That's what they say sailor's have, and Ole is no different. He went to Florida for one week, found his seaport gal, and here she is - - - -

Penny, the brown pelican (Pelecanus occidentalis). Ole took her under his wing and fed her fish scraps.

Here's where Ole met Penny - - - at the cleaning station. Look in the water behind the station and you will see - - -

The gaggle of other pelicans waiting to rob Penny of her delectable morsels. But never fear, Ole, ever the hero, chased them away and protected our fair damsel in distress.

For those of you who are unsure, Ole IS my fisherhubby standing on the dock cleaning fish. This post is MEANT to be a JOKE about his "gal in every port."

Where were these pictures taken?
You are funny! I was just reading about your hub's phone and how you accidentally contacted Venus.

I recall how long it took me to adjust to school in the fall.
My vocal chords had to get callouses before I was back to normal.

Ha, it took me a minute to figure out that Ole was a pelican and not the man on the dock.
My sister told me a tale of bird love in her garden and it cracked me up.
Pheasant type birds come in to her garden and the male started sweeping and fluffing up a spot under a big tree. Lady checks it out and walks away. Sir goes back in and digs and fluffs and sweeps and calls her back.
No luck she says and waddles out again.
He flaps and flips and sweeps and shovels and comes out to get her and she is gone. Just flew off and left him there. I don't know why I think that is so funny but I do. Kinda says bad things about me doesn't it?

Mornin' Girlfriend...

So sorry that I'm just now getting over...we had Russell's kids this weekend and had to leave early yesterday to take them back to their mothers...didn't even get back home till 10pm last night!

Anyway, what a darling post to reshare with us for Sunday Favorites, my friend! Ole's little Penny the pelican is just precious! Aren't they amazing birds? Just recently I found out that we had them here in Colorado. Seen a big ol' bird on the lake and wondered what it was...Russell told me it was a pelican! Hehe! Up until that point, I thought pelicans could only be found at the ocean! I learn something new everyday!!! Great photos, my friend!!! Thank you so much for sharing them with us!!!

Have a marvelous Monday, Sweetie!
