.
There was a little commotion in our stable at church this morning.
Toddlers were playing the parts of Mary, Joseph, angels and shepherds.
One little shepherd didn't know his place and wanted to be near Jesus. He left the other shepherds and walked right into the stable, behind the manger, right between Mary and Joseph.
I hate to report that Mary and Joseph, in typical toddler fashion, began to push and shove that little shepherd toward his "place." The teacher lent a tender hand, helping the shepherd back into position and peace was restored.
I couldn't help but wonder how often I have acted like a toddler and tried to "push" a shepherd back into his place when what he really needed was to get near Jesus.
I need the tender hand of the Teacher to lead me back to my place, restoring love and peace.

Hi Sweetie, I've lost touch with so many over the last few months. I hope to be back to blogland on a weekly basis after the new year. I've missed you!! ♥

The best thing about the church and school programs is the kinders!
What a touching reminder...love your post! And bless that teacher!
Wonderful--isn't it awesome when God gives us messages when we might least expect it!
I'm sorry, I was one of the ones pushing the shepherd :) You're right, the hand of the teacher was all I needed.
What a sweet and precious story- out of the mouth- or pushes of babes!
