AKA Sunday on a lake which is very near my city, Lake Nepco.
(Disclaimer: This event did NOT occur on a Sunday, but I SAVED it specially for the SIMC post. You'll thank me later - - - ;-)
Captain Piper welcomes us on board.
Not to be outdone, First Mate Mack takes the wheel.
While Mack pilots, Miss Piper plays ship stewardess.
Suddenly Papoo gets an idea.
An idea that is NEVER too far out of his mind.
Let's go fishing!

One cast and Papoo hooks into something good!
"Come here, Mack!! You can reel it in!"
"Come here, Mack!! You can reel it in!"
"What a beauty! A chubby large mouth bass."
"Here, Mack. Let me show you how to HOLD your bass by the lip."
"I don't think I want to touch it!"
"Let ME, Papoo!" says Piper.

"Let ME, Papoo!" says Piper.
"Ooooo, Papoo! He's kinda slimy and stinky!
I don't really LIKE holding him."
I don't really LIKE holding him."
"Let ME try, Papoo!!!
I LIKE him - - - and next time I want to catch a fish."

I love, love, love this post! My late father loved to take his young' uns fishing. Children, nephews, nieces or grandchildren. I am sure you had a blast.
WHY do my children look like they've grown 5 years?!?!!? PLEASE give them hugs and kisses from their Mama! I miss them so much. They are having so much fun...I can't thank you enough, Mom & Dad. I love you all!
P.S. Have you seen the video of our trip so far?
Some of my fondest childhood memories are of fishing with my grandpa. Their wonderful smiles say it all.
What a fun time you had!!!
No cooking the fish? My I thought you were just having a grandparent week. Didn't know you were helping out India too! Wonderful video!
These are memories in the making.
Hi Keetha,
I just got all caught up on your posts!
You have some darling grand-children there!
Just a wondering is Grandma Keetha worn out yet? hehe.
How about Grandpa, how is he holding up?
You two have been doing a lot of enertaining, lucky grandkiddies!
Dan and I met blogger Jane(Blondies Journal) and hubby Al this past weekend in Galena, Illinois.
We had a great time but of course it went by too fast!
Now we need to plan our night or day out soon!
Hugs friend,
Cindy
Love it! Three cuties and nothing is sweeter than kids learning to fish with their grand-dads!

This fun, adorable post is topped only by the happy ending: the fish was released. What a great, caring crew!
Be well, Keetha.

Nice post. That's how I fish - catch and release. Mostly because they are always small.
This is a beautiful post. Wonderful capture of memories being made.
It looks like everyone has had an amazing fishing expedition. What an adventure for you all.
Lovely day and bright smiles. What a wonderful post to share.
Sorry I'm late but haven't had time/connect to blog.
Thanks for your visit and comment!
Not fishing for cooking?
I used to fish with my dad but we ate all we got :)
Looks like a wonderful time. I am with Mack though, someone else can hold the fish.
So beautiful. I can imagine you coming back to look at these lovely memories! And so will they!
