Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Better a Late Frag than no Frag at All

.

Friday still has two hours and nine minutes here in the central time zone before it is HISTORY - - - just long enough for me to squeeze in a few fragments.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

Three or four "flies" were foolish enough to enter our home this week and NOT "fear" the electric fly swapper.

Sparks flew.

The flies dropped like, well like FLIES!!!

I am VERY thankful to report that no swapping has been done to my backside as I step out of the shower. I'm afraid it would FRY me.

I can't help it.

When I watch the end of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, I choke all up. Those words are SO HARD and those kids are so good!!!

I've never even HEARD of the words, much less have nary a CLUE how to spell them. You know, small, simple words like:

guetapens
schwarmerei
pejerrey
vetiver
cataphract
cabochon
araphorostic
resveratrol
theophylline

Our kids had some family photographs taken. This was my all time fave - - - just look what fun they have together!!!

The two "bookends" in this photo will be coming to "Consin" in about two weeks to spend time with Kamma and Papoo sans mommy and daddy.

* * * * * * * * * * * *

The back yard neighbors through the fence opened their pool last Saturday, and then spent all day Sunday swimming in it.

TRUE - - - it was 94 on Sunday.

But that water WASN'T!

You wouldn't catch me putting my white body in such cold water!!!

Of course, no one invited me anyway.

Just a little anniversary card humor. Hope it makes you "spit and snort."

I guess Donna, the neighbor on the other side of our duplex, does not have the brown thumb syndrome from which I seem to suffer.

Don't think any botanical homicide will be goin' on over there - - -

Just look at this cute solar hummingbird light-on-a-stick that Bill and Eloise (pronounced E-Lois) gave us for our anni.

And they soak up enough solar power to glow all night long until dawn breaks the next morning.

No, I do NOT mean that Bill and Eloise glow all night long until dawn breaks the next morning.

They gave us a dragonfly light-on-a-stick too. This one is my fave.

I just love how they slowly change colors all night long.

No, I did NOT stay up all night long just to watch them. I ASSUME if they are glowing and changing colors when I go to bed, and are still doing it when I wake up at 4 AM for a potty run, that they have been doing it all the hours in between.

I think that is a legitimate theory to form on the amount of data I have collected.

Of course, if you want to come over and sit in a lawn chair on my patio all night long to TEST my theory, have at it!

Mommy's Idea
Head on over to Mrs. 4444's place
And check out all the other Friday Fragments.

LOVED every fragment but have to say that the family pictures are my favorite part of your post. What a beautiful family.

Have a great weekend.

I love these posts Keetha!
It's like having a cup of coffee and catching up with you! Only I need to go make some coffee.
Love the family pics, the gifts from Eloise and that anniversary care, hehehe!
Happy Anniversary too!
You two are a great couple and we look forward to having some fun adventure with you this summer!
Hugs,
Cindy

The family photos are wonderful! What a beautiful family they are!

Even here in Florida where it has been HOT, HOT, HOT....the pool water is still NOT! I did jump in one afternoon and it was cold! It takes the water a long time to warm up.

Yes, I'm excited about the grans coming and hope I get everything done before they get here......of course I'll need to be starting! :)
Have a great weekend!

Beautiful family photographs. Here in South Louisiana the water is always warm, except maybe brief periods in mid February. Seriously. Enjoy your summer, amiga!

We call your electric fly swapper a Bug Gun here in the UK, and I wouldn't be without ours! Living in the country surrounded by horses and cows we need one!

I was just at the drug store waiting for my Rx to be refilled and I walked around browsing and saw those dragonfly solar lights. They're awesome...I bought some just like 'em only mine are fairies. LOL

Love your children's family portrait!!! And that romance 'toon is a hoot.

That's a lovely frag post, Keetha! I watched Snigdha at the Scripps Spelling Bee - and wow! what a pleasure it was to watch!

The family photos are fabulous! You must be looking forward to the children's visit!

The solar lights look smashing! I am just the sort who'd sit and watch them all night. Right now I could :D

I saw a very good movie about a girl and a spelling bee but don't remember the name of it. I feel bad for the kids that put so much time into studying words--it just seems like a waste of time to me. They seem so stressed out over it.

I think it's cute that you felt like you needed to make sure you were honest about the night-time hummingbird stats.

Go Donna!!

Thanks for linking up, Keetha :)
