Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

The Boy and His Daddy

.

The boy and his daddy - - - daddy ever teaching, modeling - - - boy ever learning, copying.

And on Memorial Day, what could be more American than baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, and daddies teaching sons the rudiments of the game?

Now, please excuse me while I wax a little emotional.

For you see, this isn't just ANY little boy and his daddy. No, this is our grandson and his daddy.

And believe you me, in this world today where so many little boys either don't know who their daddy is, or are afraid of the one they have, we feel grateful and blessed beyond words that our grandson has a daddy well worth his salt.

And little sister Piper is thankful for her family too!

Photo Credit: All of the photos in this post were taken by our daughter, Keri, who also created the mosaics.

Jason is a GIFT!!! A gift I didn't earn or deserve...the desire of my heart, a second chance, redemption. I thank God for him every single day and I'm so glad you see how awesome he is, too! :)

I love pictures of daddy's and their boys. It reminds me of my sons and their daddy. I have baseball pictures too. That was before digital and I'd have to dig them out of a box. LOL
Your pictures are priceless!

These are great mosaics. Is that Piper with the wide blue eyes? That expression is priceless.

Glad you had such a memorable Memorial Day, Keetha.

You are right. Most daddy's today have no time for the children or abuse them. The papers are full of such things everyday. You have every right to be proud of your family and what they represent. I have not been visiting much lately. When I leave a comment, I "x" it out and move on. When I turn off the computer and turn it back on, every comment that I have left is stacked on the screen. Do not understand why that is happening. I use Firefox and might be them. It is too frustrating for this old lady.

I would be waxing emotional too! What a blessing to have a daddy like that! My own grandchildren's daddy (my son) has not been there for them at all and they miss that.

Thank you for this post Mom. I feel so blessed to have such a great family. It's a lot of fun to see Mack's progression from last year(just look at his face).

I've also blessed with a job that I love. I see so many kids and their broken families, many seem left to raise themselves in a sense.

Thanks to my awesome wife for the comments left, love you!

Oh, those Piper Eyes! You have a great family.
My mother told me all through my twenties that I would be sorry for spending so many hours at the beach. "By the time you're 40 you'll look like a baseball mitt!"

Me. "Yeah, but I'll be 40, so who will care."
Ah youth.
