Many of you have asked where in the world I've been.

All I know is that after 7 plus years of blogging and a different lappy, which I don’t like, I seem to have lost my blogging fervor.

Someday, when you least expect it, I will post again.

For those of you still waiting I say thank you.

Meanwhile, I am rather prolific on twitter. Find me: @KeethaB

Sherlock Baker Cracks the Case

.

You may, or may not, remember that Friday I posted "Calling all Sherlocks" (post before this one) in which I begged your help in solving the mystery of the Wisconsin Nutcracker.

Well, old Sherlock Baker here, aka Keri - our oldest daughter - quickly suggested it was from my MIL, Robin, down Naples, Florida way.

I conceded that was a possibility, though I didn't really THINK so, 'cause my brain was still chasing the Red Herring of Bama Blogger college football fan friends. After all, Robin is NOT a college football fan - - - nor ANY football fan for that matter.

Well, Keri Holmes was RIGHT. So - - - ding, ding, ding she gets the prize!!!

Here's the REST of the story:

FIL Farrell IS a big college football fan - go Canes, that's his team. He and I can wax long and longer over the phone about our college games and the players in those games.

Robin tolerates this nonsense. What SHE loves, is flipping through the pages of catalogs.

One day, after I posted the pictures of my nutcracker collection, FIL was looking at it on my blog and mentioned it to Robin.

Well, seems a few days later she was going through some catalogs and stumbled across a place to order college logo nutcrackers.

She procured my address from FIL and - - -

King Bucky Extraordinaire arrived in Central Wisconsin at my very own doorstep!!!!

Mystery solved.

THANK YOU so much, Robin!!! You have SUCH a gift for finding JUST the right thing for JUST the right person!

King Bucky is now one of my MOST cherished nutcrackers.

Three cheers for Sherlock Baker, and for dear MIL, Robin. And of course, for the coolest nutcracker of them all. I think he needs a special name.
